The scope includes the detailed design of a deck and track with a length of 28.55 km, an incline of 85.11 m, considered for a maximum speed of 160 km/h with a maximum gradient of 16.48‰. Key structures includes 14 overpasses, 2 underpasses, 61 drainage culverts and adaptation of bridges over the River Sotón and the River Artasona. The project also involved remodelling the platforms at the Ayerbe station and the unmanned Plasencia station and the sidings at Plasencia del Monte and Ayerbe.
