Zuera logistics and industrial platform (PIGA)

SERS is drawing up the Plan of General Interest of Aragon (PIGA) for a logistics and industrial platform in Zuera (Zaragoza), a scheme intended to create a new area of economic activity specialising in logistics and industrial uses and connected to the main existing transport infrastructure.

The scheme covers some 1.5 million m² next to the Los Llanos de la Estación industrial estate, bounded by the N-330 road and the existing railway infrastructure. Its location takes advantage of the nearby A-23 motorway, the rail connection and the existing service networks, reinforcing the intermodal character of the future platform.

The layout comprises two main areas: a logistics area, with plots of more than 50,000 m² for large business facilities, and an industrial area for logistics-related activities and other productive uses. The project also defines the road accesses, the rail connections and the water supply, sewerage, energy, telecommunications and other service infrastructure required.

The scope of work covers the planning documents, the strategic environmental assessment, the urban development design and the land reparcelling project, together with preliminary topographic, hydrological, traffic and capacity studies and technical support throughout the procedure until the plan is finally approved.
