The waste water treatment plant in Teruel was designed to treat all discharges from the city, including industrial estates and adjoining districts, with a design population equivalent of 67,500. The water is piped through 4 new collectors to the raw water elevating station, where it is pumped to the main collector and flows by gravity to the station. The WWTP is of activated sludge type, with physical/chemical treatment and anaerobic digestion. The approximate length of collectors and outfall is 5,000 m, with diameters of between 400 and 800 mm. The project includes technical advice and geometric, quantitative and quality supervision of execution of all civil engineering and electromechanical equipment.
