Alternatives study and detailed design for inter-platform crossings at stations. Lot 3: Navarre, La Rioja and Aragon
In 2021 the joint venture formed by Sers and Fulcrum was awarded the alternatives study and detailed design for inter-platform crossings at several stations in Navarre, La Rioja and Aragon.
The work essentially consists of defining what is needed to build, at each station, an underpass connecting the two existing platforms, which are currently linked by a pedestrian crossing at track level.
Some platforms have to be realigned because they need widening, and the platform protection and safety installations have to be improved.
The main works defined in each design are:
- Construction of a new underpass to connect the platforms.
- Construction of the accesses needed to connect platform level with the underpass, consisting of a fixed staircase and a lift on each affected platform.
- Construction of canopies over the underpass accesses.
- Change to the layout of platform 1, widening it.
- Finishing works on the new underpass and its accesses, as well as renewal of the paving of the existing platforms where necessary.
- Drainage, electrical and lighting, fire protection and protection and security / CCTV installations in the underpass and its accesses, as well as their upgrading at platform level.
