Teruel-Zaragoza railway section: Cariñena-Muel

The scope includes the detailed design for renovation and straightening of the route of a 18.32 km section with an average gradient of over 9‰, which forms part of the Teruel – Zaragoza North West rail corridor. A design speed was proposed of 220 km/h., with a maximum gradient of 18‰.

6 overpasses and 4 reconditioning works were proposed, with 10 underpasses, 37 drainage culverts, platforms in the stations of Longares and Muel and the loop and stub siding in Muel station.
